Social Pedagogy and Social Education: Bridging traditions and innovations
Universidad Autónoma de Puebla
February 22-24, 2018

Call for papers has been extended to October 22, 2017

The Social Pedagogy Association, in collaboration with the Social and Cultural Pedagogy Program at Arizona State University, the Social and Cultural Pedagogy Graduate Student Organization (SCP-GO), the Programa de Procesos Educativos de la Facultad de Filosofia y Letras de la BUAP, and the Red Mexicana de Pedagogía Social, is happy to announce the International Conference “Social Pedagogy and Social Education: Bridging traditions and innovations,” which will be held at Universidad Autónoma de Puebla on February 22-24, 2018.

The conference aims at making meaningful connections between the twin fields of social education and social pedagogy, between historical traditions and current innovations in these fields, between theory and practice, and between academics and practitioners from different parts of the world.  The conference will be bilingual (English-Spanish).

The conference will combine scholarly presentations with practical workshops. We are interested in abstracts on educational and social interventions, research projects, theoretical debates, historical analyses, and other contributions connected to the fields of social education and social pedagogy and related to the conference themes.

Submission Guidelines: Presenters must submit an abstract of their presentation (around 250 words) by September 22, 2017.  The abstract should indicate title, name and affiliation of presenter(s), the relationship of the presentation to one or more of the conference themes, and the format of the presentation. Presentations are organized into four categories: paper/project presentations, panels, roundtables and workshops.
